Free Things to Do at Scissortail Park: September & October Highlights

405 Local Pulse presents upcoming free community markets, open-air shopping, and featured public events happening at Scissortail Park:

Markets

  • Farmers Market at Scissortail Park: Held every Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (running May through October) near the OKC Boulevard and Promenade. This producer-only market features local growers, fresh produce, artisan items, baked goods, and local crafts.  

  • Night Market at Scissortail Park: Scheduled for Friday, September 18, from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. An evening outdoor market featuring local makers, artists, and independent entrepreneurs under the stars.  

Upcoming Free Events & Concerts (September 2026)

  • Zumba Classes: Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Event Pavilion (free community fitness).  

  • Prevention & Recovery in the Park: Saturday, September 5, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  

  • 7th Annual Ballet Under the Stars: Friday, September 11, starting at 7:00 PM on the Love's Travel Stops Stage & Great Lawn.  

  • OKC Philharmonic Summer Concert Series: Saturday, September 12, at 8:30 PM. A free open-air symphonic performance featuring music director Alexander Mickelthwate on the Great Lawn (bring a blanket and a lawn chair).  

  • India Food & Art Festival (IFAF): Sunday, September 20, starting at 11:00 AM.  

  • CU in the Park starring Russell Dickerson: Saturday, September 26, starting at 7:00 PM.
